Shooting Star Farm: An Senior Project might be to join as a member of the work-trade CSA, working on the farm 6 hours per month, and eating food from it for a school year, or perhaps taking on one of the farm systems, such as composting. A student would be mentored, and could then write up results or make a video.

The Plant-a-thon involves five local schools in planting 3,000 trees per year. This event offers training opportunities in event organization, restoration ecology, teaching interactive classroom ecology lessons, teen crew leadership and more. I would welcome a ""student organizer"" from PTHS or The Chimacum Pi Program.

As part of my job as Stewardship Director for Northwest Watershed Institute, I run The Plant-a-thon, which involves local schools in planting 3,000 trees per year.
